Sleep logs (for example: sleep time, wake time, notes)
Habit logs and reminder times
App preferences (for example: theme, units, and tracker settings)
Meal photos you take or choose, if you use the photo assist feature (see below)
We do not collect this information ourselves. It is stored on your device and we have
no access to it.
How we use information
Your data is used only to provide app features, including:
Showing your logs and history
Generating analytics and charts inside the app
Saving your personal settings and defaults
Data storage
Data is stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage technologies.
HealthAware does not require account creation.
HealthAware does not upload your health or fitness logs to a developer-controlled server.
If you have iOS device backup enabled, your app data may be included in that backup
under settings you control. That backup is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.
Notifications
If you enable habit reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device.
These are delivered by iOS itself. No reminder content is sent to us or to any third
party, and no notification data leaves your device.
Camera and photos
If you use the meal photo assist feature, the App can take a photo with your camera or let
you choose one from your photo library. These photos are held temporarily on your device so
you can view them and share them yourself. They are not added to your logs, and they are not
uploaded to us.
The App asks for camera access only when you use this feature. You can decline, or revoke
access later in iOS Settings, and the rest of the App will continue to work.
On-device AI advice
On supported iPhones, the App can write advice about your own logs using Apple’s built-in
on-device model. This runs entirely on your iPhone:
The model reads your logs on your device. Nothing is sent to us, to Apple, or to any other
server, and no network connection is used for this feature.
The advice is not saved. It exists only for as long as you keep it open.
It runs only when you ask for it, by tapping the button yourself.
If your iPhone does not support Apple Intelligence, or it is turned off, this feature is
simply unavailable and the clipboard option below still works.
Advice is general guidance drawn from what you logged. It is not medical advice and is not a
diagnosis.
AI assistant features (clipboard export)
Some optional features prepare a text summary of your data — for example a nutrition
question or a health summary — and copy it to your clipboard so you can paste it into
an AI chatbot of your choosing. The meal photo assist feature works the same way: it prepares
a text prompt for you to paste, and you choose whether to share the photo itself alongside it.
This only happens when you actively choose to use one of these features.
The App does not send this data anywhere itself. It places text on your clipboard.
If you choose to share a meal photo with an AI service, that photo is handled by that
service under its own privacy policy. Sharing the photo is always your own separate action.
Once you paste that text into another app, the data is handled by that app under
its privacy policy, not ours. If you paste health information into a third-party
AI service, that service may store or process it.
You can read the text before pasting it, and you are free not to use these features at all.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your personal health or fitness logs with third parties for advertising.
Data may be disclosed only if required by applicable law.
Third-party services
HealthAware does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not
track you across apps or websites.
Your choices
Edit or delete data inside the app
Turn habit reminders off at any time, in the app or in iOS Settings
Remove app data by deleting the app from your device (subject to iOS device backup
settings you control)
Children’s privacy
HealthAware is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted at this
page with a revised “Last updated” date.
